Behind The Scenes 2 – New Video Work

Back in mid-May, we announced that we were working on a new Binaerpilot music video. We’re still chipping away at the production process, and work has progressed (even if at a slower than usual pace) towards the completion of the video. As a companion piece to the recent post on anthonylavado.com, we’re pleased to bring you some other little tidbits here as to the current status of the video.

We’ve recently carried out construction on two new pieces of gear that we can add to our arsenal: the Jonny Chung Lee “Poor Man’s Steadycam“, and this wonderful Instructable “DIY Track Dolly for under $50” by Chris Matthews Jr.

More will come in the “Behind The Scenes” series, and hopefully we can get our old PCs working again to bring you the real process behind the classic videos like “Bend” and more.

Stay tuned for further information, and as always, you can get updates from us on our Twitter page.

Behind The Scenes

Phase one of preparations for Binärpilot‘s new video is pretty much complete. We’ve built a fancy new steadycam and filming is well under way. Even though we’ve only just begun, I can tell this is going to be one awesome music video and working on it is a nice excuse to expose our comrades to Binärpilot‘s beats. To start our filming, we’ve chosen one of our favourite places, the Burlington lift bridge. As a photographer, I can appreciate the incredible lighting this place has and you may well recognize it from the set of portraits I did of Anthony and Josh. Its industrial feel is perfect for this video and we couldn’t resist using the setting to take some more fun shots of the surrounding area. I can’t show you what we’re actually filming since it may ruin the surprise of the release but I’ll try to post some more behind the scenes footage as we create one beast of a music video.

Binärpilot – Visual Propaganda

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve begun work on a new video for Binärpilot, a chip tune artist that the three of us know and love from Norway.

We’ve been big fans of his for years, and in the early days (2007), Anthony created a series of videos for his music under an earlier “company” moniker of nDesk2 media. Since the nDesk2 project is now dead (and has moved on), we’re folding in all of the previous video work completed by Anthony into our stable of releases. Over the next little while as we continue pre-production (and soon enough, production) on this new video project, we’ll highlight each of Anthony’s previous video releases, and go into a short “making of” series, detailing the creative process involved in each.
